Assignment Details

  • Start Date: August 17, 2026
  • End Date: February 19, 2027 (corrected to align with 6-month term)
  • Contract Length: 6 months (26 weeks)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour shifts, 30-minute unpaid lunch)
  • Requirement: Full-time availability required
  • Flexibility: Must be able to float; no consecutive day guarantee
  • Priority Needs: Monday and Friday coverage

Practice Setting

  • Hospital-based anesthesiology department
  • Care Model: Medical direction
  • EMR: Epic
  • ORs: 20 total (general, ortho, GYN, ENT/eyes, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, neuro, trauma)
  • NORA Locations: 5 (IR, EP, Endo, MRI)
  • Equipment: Dräger anesthesia machines, Philips monitoring systems

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care across a wide variety of surgical services
  • Float between ORs and NORA locations as needed
  • Support high-volume surgical environment (60+ cases/day across department)
  • Work collaboratively within a medically directed anesthesia team

Skills & Case Mix

  • Exposure to: general, ortho, vascular, neuro, trauma, ENT, and more
  • Preferred (not required): cardiac, vascular, neuro, and pediatrics experience
  • Cardiac/lung cases not required at this site

Requirements

  • NBCRNA Certification – Required
  • Active North Carolina License – Required (or compact license eligible)
  • Experience: 1–2 years minimum (No new grads)
  • Certifications: ACLS & PALS – Required
  • Must be willing to float and work full-time schedule
