Key Candidate Requirements
- Board Certification: OB/GYN (required)
- Licensure: Active Minnesota license preferred OR IMLC eligible if no MN license
- Certifications: BLS (required)
- Experience: Trauma Level I or II OB experience required; high-risk OB/MFM support available
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Ongoing
Shift Details
- Shift Types:
- 24-hour in-house call: 7 AM – 7 AM
- 12-hour shifts: 7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM
- Coverage Split: Multiple hospital sites
- Submittals: Providers must include which shifts they can work from the urgent dates below:
Urgent Shift Dates:
- May: 5/9 (24h, 7 AM), 5/18 (12h, 7 PM), 5/29 (24h, 7 AM)
- June: 6/7 (24h, 7 AM), 6/10 (24h, 7 AM), 6/12 (12h, 7 AM), 6/17 (24h, 7 AM), 6/22 (24h, 7 AM), 6/27 (12h, 7 AM)
- July: 7/11 (24h, 7 AM), 7/14 (12h, 7 PM), 7/14 (12h, 7 PM), 7/18 (24h, 7 AM), 7/24 (12h, 7 PM), 7/25 (24h, 7 AM), 7/31 (12h, 7 PM)
- August: 8/4 (24h, 7 AM), 8/8 (24h, 7 AM), 8/10 (12h, 7 AM), 8/11 (24h, 7 AM), 8/12 (24h, 7 AM), 8/18 (24h, 7 AM), 8/20 (24h, 7 AM)
Clinical Setting
- Setting: Inpatient OB Hospitalist Float Pool
- High-risk OB coverage with MFM support
- MFM onsite during day
- MFM on-call at night
- 24/7 maternal-fetal medicine access
- Patient Volume: ~11–12 deliveries per day system-wide
- Nursery: Level II
Clinical Responsibilities
- Labor & delivery coverage
- Assist with C-sections and OB procedures
- Manage unassigned/undoctored OB patients
- Support clinic OB teams when needed
- Comfortable with complex obstetrics and emergencies
Systems & Tools
- EMR: Epic (Excellian system)
- Fetal Monitoring: OBIX

- Strong interest in high-risk OB/MFM care
- Team-oriented, comfortable collaborating with APPs and nursing staff
- Clean credentialing files for emergency onboarding
