Availability / Schedule
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: Ongoing
- Shift Types Available:
- 24-hour in-house call (7a–7a)
- 12-hour shifts (7a–7p or 7p–7a depending on site)
- Providers must submit availability from provided shift list
- Multiple dates available from May–August 2026
- Coverage split between sites
Licensure & Certifications (REQUIRED)
- Board Certified OB/GYN – Required
- Active Minnesota license – Highly preferred
- IMLC eligible – Required if no MN license
- BLS – Required
- Trauma Level I or II experience – Required
- Willing to license – Yes
Clinical Setting
- Inpatient OB Hospitalist Float Pool
- Covers high-risk OB patients
- Must be comfortable with complex obstetrics and emergencies
- Support available:
- MFM onsite during day
- MFM on-call at night
- 24/7 maternal-fetal medicine access
Patient Volume / Scope
- ~11–12 deliveries per day system-wide
- Level II nursery
- Role includes:
- Labor & delivery coverage
- Assisting C-sections and OB procedures
- Managing unassigned/undoctored OB patients
- Supporting clinic OB teams when needed
Systems & Tools
- EMR: Epic (Excellian – Allina system)
- Fetal monitoring: OBIX
Key Notes for Recruiting
- Open to general OB/GYNs with high-risk interest (MFM support provided)
- Strong preference for clean files for emergency credentialing
- Must be flexible across multiple hospital sites and shift types
