Position Overview:
- Serve as Site Hospitalist Medical Director, providing clinical leadership and operational oversight
- Responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while aligning with system-wide goals
- Focus on optimizing length of stay (LOS), improving patient flow, and enhancing interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and evidence-based practices
Leadership & Management:
- Lead and mentor the hospitalist team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Oversee onboarding, professional development, and performance evaluations
- Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing feedback
Clinical Oversight:
- Maintain active clinical involvement while supervising hospitalist services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes and care coordination
- Monitor census, staffing, and throughput metrics to identify improvement opportunities
- Lead monthly quality reviews (sepsis, readmissions, HAPI, etc.)
- Partner with nursing leadership to streamline discharge processes
Quality & Administration:
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts
- Monitor and report key performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Serve as liaison between hospital administration and hospitalist team
Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to growth and development of the hospitalist program
- Develop LOS reduction strategies using data and population health insights
- Identify opportunities for innovation and operational efficiency
Requirements:
- MD or DO with BC in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with quality improvement and data-driven decision-making
- EMR: Meditech
- H1 sponsorship available (no J1)

- Base salary: $150–$200/hour (excluding bonuses and benefits)
