Locums Opportunity – Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)

Location: Bellingham, Washington
Facility: Acute Care Hospital (Trauma Level II–IV)

Availability & Schedule

• Start Date: ASAP – Targeting end of May (May 25, 2026)
• Assignment Length: 9 months
• First Day: Orientation required
• Coverage Need: Full-time due to gap in coverage
• Setting: Inpatient (Hospital only)

Requirements (Strict)

• License: Active Washington license required at submission
• DEA: Washington DEA required at submission
• Certification: Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
• BLS: Required (AHA or Red Cross)
• Recent Experience: Must show OB/GYN case logs within last 24 months

---

Practice Setting

• Inpatient hospital-based role
• Beds:
  • 10 Labor & Delivery beds
  • 14 Postpartum beds
• Provider works independently (solo coverage)

Clinical Responsibilities

• Vaginal deliveries
• C-section assist
• Labor management and inductions
• L&D triage
• FSE and IUPC placement
• Repair of 1st and 2nd degree perineal lacerations
• Rounding and admissions

Volume & Patient Population

• Average Deliveries: 1–2 per 24 hours
• Patient Population: Adult

---

Additional Notes

• Hospital-based inpatient role only (no clinic)
• Solo provider coverage required
• Strong procedural experience required
• Fast start requires active WA license and DEA at time of submission
