- Locum tenens opportunity
- Seeking a board certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Hybrid role: Hospitalist + Emergency Medicine coverage
- 24-hour solo provider coverage (on-site)
Coverage Dates
- 5/18 @ 12:00 PM – 5/23 @ 12:00 PM
Orientation Requirements
- All new providers require orientation
- For 5/17 start: orientation at 8:00 AM with noon handoff
- Orientation typically 4 hours (weekday; paid)
Schedule
- Shift: 12:00 PM – 12:00 PM (24-hour coverage)
- Must remain available until 3:00 PM on final day if relief provider is delayed
Clinical Responsibilities
- Emergency department coverage, inpatient admissions, and rounding
- Average daily census: ~9 ED patients, ~6 inpatient
- No ICU beds on site
- Transfer support to Bismarck for higher acuity cases
- Procedures required
- No additional APP coverage – solo provider role
Support & Technology
- Telemedicine support via Avel eCare (24/7 physician support for ED and inpatient)
- Subspecialty support available (cardiology, infectious disease, pulmonology)
- EMR: Epic
Schedule & Workflow
- Morning rounds typically begin between 7:00–8:00 AM
- Informal evening rounds (9:00–10:00 PM) encouraged to reduce overnight disruptions
- Discharges prioritized early in the day for efficient patient flow
Facility & Logistics
- Apartment on-site for providers + additional sleep room
- Hotel covered for first night upon arrival
- Temporary privileges available
- Must have active North Dakota license
