Position Overview

Seeking an experienced OB/GYN physician for 24-hour call coverage. Provider will manage labor & delivery, perform emergent procedures, and provide inpatient rounding.

Clinical Responsibilities

• 24-hour call coverage
• Rounding on OB patients
• Perform emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries
• Provide coverage for emergent GYN procedures
• Manage low to moderate-risk deliveries (high-risk cases transferred)

Facility Details:

• Level 1 nursery (no NICU)
• High-risk cases transferred (30–45 minutes away)
• Average 27 deliveries/month (approx. 11 C-sections)
• 1–3 deliveries per 24-hour period
• 3 labor rooms, 14 postpartum beds

Support:

• 24/7 Anesthesiology and Radiology coverage
• Hospitalist support staff available
• Hospital-issued cell phone

Requirements

• Active North Carolina medical license
• Active NC DEA (with NC address)
• NC Medicaid credentialing required
• Must be enrolled in PECOS (Medicare)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
• BLS (if required by facility)
• Fully vaccinated
• Actively delivering babies (case logs required for past 12–24 months from hospital source)
• Clean malpractice history (no open/recent cases preferred)
