Critical Requirements (All Required at Submission)

• Board Certified in OB/GYN – REQUIRED
• Active Virginia (VA) License – REQUIRED
• BLS – REQUIRED
• ACLS – REQUIRED
• DEA – REQUIRED
• OB Hospitalist / L&D experience – REQUIRED
• EPIC EMR experience – REQUIRED

• July 20, 2026

Coverage Model

• 24-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 8:00 AM)
• Minimum: 1 week per month coverage
• Shift start days vary based on provider schedule
• No fixed weekly schedule

Practice Setting

• Acute Care Hospital
• Family Birth Center with unit manager + at least 3 nurses per shift
• On-call specialties available: General Surgery, Cardiology
• Additional support: House Supervisor, Unit Manager, Office Manager (adjacent clinic)
• EPIC EMR

Patient Volume

• ~75 OB patients/month
• ~25–30 deliveries/month
• Patient age range: 13–45

---

Clinical Scope

OB Responsibilities

• Labor & delivery management (24-hour coverage)
• Routine deliveries
• C-sections and operative OB care (OR on unit)
• Fetal monitoring and inpatient OB management

GYN Coverage (ER-based)

• Abnormal bleeding
• Miscarriage management
• D&C procedures
• Ablations
• Other acute GYN emergencies presenting through ER

Additional Duties

• Occasional clinic coverage for high-risk / late-term OB patients
