Locums - Ocala, Florida, Trauma CRNA Opening
Assignment Details
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Ongoing
Schedule: Full-time coverage required
Shifts: Variable 10-, 12-, 13-, and 14-hour shifts (weekday and weekend coverage required)
Primary need: Monday and Friday coverage
Call: In-house call rotation (preferred but not required)
Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days
Setting: Hospital-based coverage (Level I Trauma Center)
Must be flexible and available for weekend coverage
Reason for need: Short-staffed
Providers must be comfortable with Trauma - no exceptions!
OUT OF STATE candidates only - must provide out of state license at presentation
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia care across a wide range of surgical specialties
Case types include: Cardiac, Orthopedics, General, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Endoscopy, GYN, Robotics, and Trauma
No pediatrics or OB cases
Perform procedures including:
- Regional blocks
- Spinal anesthesia
- Central line placement
- Arterial line placement
Work under supervision model (approximately 90% supervised, 1:4 ratio)
Annual case volume: ~12,000 cases across two hospitals
Cardiac volume: ~700 cases per year
Teaching facility environment
Must be able to work across full spectrum of general to trauma cases
Utilize EMR systems for documentation
Call Coverage
In-house call required (rotation-based)
Average: ~2 call shifts every 6 weeks
Call types include:
- Weekday call: 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12–14 hour shifts)
- Weekend call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (10–14 hour shifts)
Preferred but not mandatory to participate in call rotation

15 operating rooms
ACT model: 19 physicians and 28 APPs across two hospitals
Cross-credentialing required
Supervision model anesthesia care team
EMR: iProcedures
Requirements
Board Certified CRNA – Required
Active Florida license – Required
Must have trauma experience – Required
Proficiency in regional blocks, spinal anesthesia, central and arterial line placement – Required
Full-time availability – Required
