Locums - Marshfield, Wisconsin, Hematology/Oncology Opening

Assignment Details
Start Date: August 3, 2026 – Ongoing
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Coverage Type: Clinic and call coverage
Setting: Outpatient clinic with inpatient rounding responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities
Provide Hematology/Oncology clinic coverage and inpatient support
Manage acute leukemia and inpatient chemotherapy patients
Perform bone marrow biopsies
Participate in chemotherapy supervision for assigned patients
Handle add-on consults and support coverage for absent providers
Weekday afternoon inpatient rounding from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Daily rounding responsibilities approximately 1–2 hours Monday–Sunday
Support shared clinic call responsibilities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology care team
Document all care in EMR

Call Coverage
1:4 weekly hospital call rotation
Call schedule: Friday 7:30 AM – Friday 7:30 AM
Phone consult volume: ~5–10 per call period
Rarely called into facility
Response time requirement: 30 minutes
Assigned and unassigned patient coverage

Practice Setting
Established oncology team with:

• 3 physicians
• 3 APPs
  Support staff includes RN, MA, navigators, and infusion RNs
  Radiation oncology services available onsite
  Trauma Level II/III facility
  EMR: Cerner

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology/Oncology – Required
Hematology/Oncology fellowship – Required
Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS – Required
