Hours: 7a–3:30p
June 29
June 30 – July 1
July 1, 6, 10
July 27,28

 

Ephrata – Inpatient Rounding / ED Support / Call / Outpatient & Inpatient Procedures

Coverage Blocks:
 July 27 @ 7am – July 31 @ 5pm

Schedule Structure:
 Monday–Friday: 7a–3p (8-hour shift) + weeknight beeper call (3p–7a)
Saturday/Sunday: 24-hour call coverage (7a–7a)

Clinical Responsibilities

Provide general gastroenterology coverage across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings
Manage inpatient rounding and consults
Provide outpatient endoscopy procedures and inpatient procedures
Average inpatient census: 10–12 patients
New consults: 2–4 per day
Outpatient procedures: ~6 per day
Occasional add-on procedures: 0–1 per day
Must be able to function independently in hospital setting
Document all care in EMR

Call Coverage
Call coverage included during inpatient rotation blocks
Procedural + inpatient call responsibility required


Practice Setting

Combination of Ambulatory Surgery Center and Hospital-based practice
130-bed hospital
No APP support in hospital setting
Adult patient population (18+)
General GI practice (no ERCP/EUS specified)
EMR: Epic


Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterology – Required
Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC – Required / Accepted
DEA – Required
Must be able to work independently in hospital setting
Minimum experience: Independent practice capability required
Credentialing timeframe: Temporary privileges available with clean file
