Clinical Role

• Locum tenens neurology opportunity
• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible neurologist
• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
• Preferred skills include:
  • EMG
  • EEG interpretation
  • Continuous EEG reading
• Active Illinois license required
• Stroke-certified center
• Teleneurology handles all acute stroke coverage
• Neurology consulted on hospitalist admissions as needed
• EMR: Epic

Schedule & Workload

• Priority given to providers able to cover 7 consecutive days
• Coverage schedule:
  • Monday 7:00a – Monday 7:00a
• Current dates needed:
  • August 31 – September 7
  • September 27 – October 5
• Clinic schedule:
  • 8:00a-12:00p
  • Approximately 7-10 patients per day
  • New patients: 40 minutes
  • Established patients: 20 minutes
• Afternoon inpatient rounding and consults
  • Approximately 3-4 consults daily
• Call expectations:
  • 1-2 calls per night
  • Typically no overnight in-person coverage required
