- 20-room Emergency Department
- 4 physicians in practice
- Nursery Level I
Patient & Delivery Volume
- Average deliveries: 1 per day
- C-section rate: 30%
- Nursery admissions: approximately 1 per day
- 1:4 call rotation
Clinical Responsibilities
Obstetrics
- Low-risk pregnancy management
- Routine vaginal deliveries
- Decision-making for C-sections
- Complicated deliveries including:
- C-sections
- Breech deliveries
- Multiple births
- Abruptions
- Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations as needed
Fetal Monitoring & Ultrasound
- NST interpretation
- FSE interpretation
- OB ultrasound performance and interpretation:
- Level I/Screening
- Level II/Targeted Anatomy
Not Required
- High-risk pregnancy management
- VBACs
- Amniocentesis
Certifications & Requirements
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
Board Requirements
- Board Certified OR truly Board Eligible
- Must be within 1 year of graduation if Board Eligible
Residency Requirement
- ABOG or AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency required
Licensure
- Active Ohio license required
