Locums - Port Charlotte, Florida, Emergency Medicine Opening

Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Duration: 3 months

Coverage & Shift Details:

• 24-hour physician coverage required
• Seasonal APP coverage available
• Must be willing to work at main facility associated with the FSED

Practice Setting:

• Free Standing Emergency Department / associated main hospital facility
• Annual patient volume: ~13,500 visits
• Separate pediatric waiting area, triage, and dedicated pediatric bay
• State-of-the-art imaging including CT, ultrasound, and radiology
• Patients requiring admission are transferred to main campus with seamless handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists

EMR & Documentation:

• Meditech P-doc EMR
• M-Modal dictation

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) – Required
• Emergency Medicine residency training – Required
• Internal Medicine / Family Medicine accepted only with extensive Emergency Department experience
