Locums - Port Charlotte, Florida, Emergency Medicine Opening
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Duration: 3 months
Coverage & Shift Details:
- 24-hour physician coverage required
- Seasonal APP coverage available
- Must be willing to work at main facility associated with the FSED
Practice Setting:
- Free Standing Emergency Department / associated main hospital facility
- Annual patient volume: ~13,500 visits
- Separate pediatric waiting area, triage, and dedicated pediatric bay
- State-of-the-art imaging including CT, ultrasound, and radiology
- Patients requiring admission are transferred to main campus with seamless handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists
EMR & Documentation:
- Meditech P-doc EMR
- M-Modal dictation
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) – Required
- Emergency Medicine residency training – Required
- Internal Medicine / Family Medicine accepted only with extensive Emergency Department experience
