Locums – Erie, Pennsylvania – Cardiac Surgeon Job

Clinical Role:

• Locum tenens opportunity
• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible cardiac surgeon
• Call coverage only
• 24-hour call shifts
• No clinic responsibilities
• Offsite call allowed (hotel)
• Sole provider on call; APPs provide floor support
• Average admissions on call: 1 patient
• 30-minute response time required
• Facility: 458-bed Level II Trauma Center
• 100% adult patient population
• Emergency cardiac surgery coverage including:
  • CABG
  • Aortic valve replacement
  • TAVR
  • Aortic aneurysm repair
  • Heart valve surgery
  • MitraClip
  • PFO closure
  • ECMO and tamponade cases
• Two dedicated cardiac ORs daily
• APP support available for vein harvest/open-close procedures
• Minimum 3 years post-training experience required
• Active Pennsylvania license required or ability to obtain
• DEA, ACLS, BLS, and CPR required
• EMR: Cerner
