Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Internal Medicine care in the Value-Based Care Clinic
- Utilize evidence-based guidelines and value-based care principles
- Implement population health tools, risk stratification, and care coordination strategies
- Address healthcare disparities and non-medical drivers of health
- Deliver coordinated, team-based care with interdisciplinary partners
Teaching & Educational Leadership
- Serve as core faculty for Internal Medicine Health Equity Track
- Supervise residents in clinic-based experiential learning
- Provide real-time clinical teaching in:
- Primary care
- Population health
- Value-based care
- Health equity-focused practice
- Mentor residents in:
- Quality improvement initiatives
- Health equity research
- Scholarly activities/projects
- Participate in journal clubs, lecture series, case conferences, and workshops
- Collaborate with residency leadership to develop curriculum aligned with ACGME competencies and Parkland priorities
- Provide formative and summative feedback to support resident professional growth
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine – REQUIRED
- Demonstrated interest or experience in health equity, value-based care, or population health
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Ability to integrate evidence-based medicine into clinical care and teaching
