Locums – Kissimmee, Florida, Emergency Medicine Opening

RecruitWell is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for a locums opportunity in Kissimmee, Florida. This assignment offers the chance to work in a growing emergency department with strong specialty backup and flexibility across both the main hospital campus and affiliated freestanding emergency sites.

Position Details

• Location: Kissimmee, Florida
• Start Date: June 13, 2026
• Contract Length: 3 months
• Coverage Need: Equivalent of 2 FTEs
• Practice Setting: Emergency Medicine – Hospital and affiliated Freestanding Emergency Departments

Schedule

• Providers must be flexible to work:
  • Days
  • Nights
  • Weekends
• Main hospital campus may consider shifts less than 12 hours
• Affiliated FSEDs require 12-hour shifts
• Preference for providers willing to cover both the main hospital and affiliated freestanding sites

Facility Highlights

• Projected 19,000 annual patient visits
• Approximately 52 patients per day
• 12 private patient care beds
• Dedicated trauma room
• Dedicated pediatric treatment room

Patients requiring inpatient admission are transported to the main campus or another facility with seamless handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists.

Interview Process

• Site Directors will conduct phone interviews with prospective locum providers and answer questions during the interview process.

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine via:
  • American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), or
  • American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM)

OR

• Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with 3 years of Emergency Medicine experience

Additional Requirements:

• Emergency Medicine Residency Trained – Required
• ACLS – Required
• PALS – Required
