Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
30-minute unpaid lunch

Standard schedule:

Amount of Coverage Needed:
Full-time coverage needed

Setting:

Hospital-based practice
Outpatient clinic with inpatient consult coverage

228-bed hospital

Patient Population:
18+

Patient Volume:
12–15 patients per day

Department Description:
Oncology

Support Staff:

Director of Oncology and Infusion Services
Clinical RN Supervisor
Support Staff Supervisor
8 Oncology experienced RNs
2 Nurse Navigators
4 Medical Assistants
7 clerical staff for check-in and check-out
Financial Navigator
2 Authorization Assistants
Director of Billing/Coding
1 Pharmacist
1 Clinical Pharmacist
Pharmacy RN Tech

Procedures:

No special procedures required
If bone marrow biopsy is needed, patient can be referred to Interventional Radiology

Skills Required:

Inpatient consults
New referral patients including both oncology and hematology
Diagnose and stage cancer
Develop and implement treatment plans including chemotherapy and immunotherapy
General Medical Oncology and Hematology Oncology management

EMR:

ONCO (clinic)
Cerner (hospital)

Requirements:

Board Certified in Medical Oncology or Hematology Oncology – Required
Active Pennsylvania license – Preferred
IMLC accepted
DEA – Required
CSR – Required
BLS – Required
ACLS – Required
Minimum 1 year experience required
