Locums - Bristol, Tennessee, Gastroenterology Opening (IMLC Accepted)

Schedule Details:

Monday 7:00 AM EST – Monday 7:00 AM EST

Provider onsite approximately 8–10 hours per day

Monday–Friday scheduled coverage with weekend call included

Night call responsibilities include:
Beeper coverage
24-hour weekend call

Rarely called back onsite after hours; most after-hours responsibilities are phone consults

Amount of Coverage Needed:
2 locations each week (Bristol and Kingsport)

Call Requirements:
24-hour call required each day within confirmed assignment

Hospital-based practice
Endoscopy Suite and OR coverage

Facility Details:

Bristol bed capacity: 348
Kingsport bed capacity: 345

Department Description:

Endo Suite (Bristol)
Main OR / Endo Suite (Kingsport)

Patient Population:
Adults, with occasional patients younger than 18

Patient Volume:

Consult volume varies
Average 5–6 procedures per 24-hour call shift
Estimated procedure volume approximately 7–8 procedures per day

Support Staff:

Supporting OR staff
In-house Endoscopy nurses

Procedures:

General Gastroenterology procedures
ERCP required
May assist with rounding as needed
Flexibility around EUS scheduling and procedures available
Blocked time available in the endoscopy suite

Special Equipment:

Olympus equipment
Additional details available upon request

EMR:
EPIC

EMR experience preferred

Requirements:

Board Certified Gastroenterology – Required
Active Tennessee license – Required
IMLC accepted
License must be active prior to confirming dates
ACLS – Required
BLS – Required
ERCP – Required
Tennessee DEA – Required
CSR – Preferred
Must be well experienced in all General GI and ERCP cases and procedures

Vaccination Requirement:

Vaccines mandatory
Certain exemptions accepted with proper medical documentation

Team Structure:

Requesting 1 Physician
Provider will work 1:1 with an APP
