Locums - Minneapolis, Minnesota, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Opening (IMLC Accepted)

Schedule Details:
40 hours per week

Mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts

Day, Swing, Night, and Weekend coverage

Monday–Monday coverage model with overnight and weekend call

Typical weekly schedule includes:

• 2 days in clinic
• 2 days in surgery/procedures
• 1 flexible day for administrative duties or surgical overflow

Call is divided among the surgeons.

Responsibilities:
Provide advanced surgical care for thoracic oncology patients, including treatment of:

• Lung disease
• Chest wall disease
• Mediastinal disease
• Pleural disease

Perform a broad range of thoracic procedures including:

• Minimally invasive thoracic surgery
• Robotic surgery
• Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
• Advanced bronchoscopy
• Endoscopic procedures involving the lungs and esophagus

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery or Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery by the AOA Board of Surgery – Required
• Active Minnesota License – Required
• IMLC Accepted
• Willing to License
• DEA – Required
• ACLS-BLS Tier 2 – Required
• Minimum 2 years of experience – Required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of a Thoracic Oncology Fellowship
• 2+ years of thoracic or cardiothoracic surgical experience with emphasis in thoracic malignancy
• 2+ years of robotic surgery experience
