Coverage Model
- 100% In-House Call Coverage
- Primarily Nights and Weekends
- Additional Day Coverage Shifts as Needed
Shift Times
- Weekday Days: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Weeknights: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekends: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Call Expectations
- All call is in-house
- No callback coverage
Practice Details
- Acute Care Hospital
- Adult Trauma Levels II, III, and IV
- EMR: Epic (Stork)
Clinical Responsibilities
- Cover in-house OB and GYN services
- Resident supervision
- Answering service pages
- Management of OB and GYN patients
Required Procedures
- Dilation and Evacuation (D&E)
- Dilation and Curettage (D&C)
- Cesarean Sections (C-Sections)
- GYN service procedures and ED transfers
Patient Mix
- 66% Obstetrics
- 33% Gynecology
Support Staff
Per Shift:
- 3 OB/GYN Physicians
- 1 Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician
- 2–3 Certified Nurse Midwives
- 2 Advanced Practice Providers
- Residents and Fellows
Additional Clinical Support
- Maternal Fetal Medicine coverage onsite during the day
- Maternal Fetal Medicine call coverage overnight
Delivery Volume
- Approximately 5,500 annual deliveries at one affiliated hospital
- Approximately 4,200 annual deliveries at another affiliated hospital
Ideal Candidate
- Board Certified OB/GYN
- Comfortable with high-volume inpatient OB/GYN coverage
- Experienced with resident supervision
- Proficient in obstetric and gynecologic emergency procedures
- Available for ongoing nights, weekends, and occasional day coverage
