Position Overview

• Coverage Reason: Replacement for departing Pediatric Anesthesiologist

Availability Requirements

• Monday–Friday coverage
• Typical shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Potential shift variations:
  • 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• No weekends
• No night shifts
• No call responsibilities

Licensure Requirements

• Active Virginia Medical License required or ability to obtain
• DEA Required
• CSR Required

Board Certification Requirements

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• Must be participating in Maintenance of Certification (MOC)

Fellowship Requirements

• Fellowship Trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology – Required

Clinical Responsibilities

• Pediatric anesthesia coverage for inpatient surgical cases
• Supervision of CRNAs within a care team model
• Independent case coverage as needed
• Combination of supervisory and hands-on clinical responsibilities

Candidate Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program
• Fellowship Trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology
• Board Certified
• Active Medical License or Ability to Obtain Licensure
• DEA and CSR Required

Facility Requirements

• Completion of all required onboarding and HealthStream training modules prior to start date
