Position Overview

Availability Requirements

Schedule

  • 5–10 shifts per month
  • Primarily nights and weekends
  • Some daytime in-house coverage shifts as needed

Shift Times

  • Weekday Day Call: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Weeknight Call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Weekend Day Call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Call Coverage

  • 100% in-house call
  • No callback call responsibilities
  • Coverage includes OB and GYN services

License & Certification Requirements

Required

  • Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • ACLS Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • PALS Certification
  • DEA Registration
  • Ohio CSR
  • Minimum 2 Years of Experience

Licensing

  • Ohio License Required
  • Willing to License Qualified Candidates
  • IMLC Candidates Accepted

Preferred

  • Local Candidates

Practice Details

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Cover in-house OB and GYN services
  • Resident supervision
  • Respond to answering service pages
  • Manage transfers from the Emergency Department
  • Perform required OB/GYN procedures

Required Procedures

  • Dilation & Evacuation (D&E)
  • Dilation & Curettage (D&C)
  • Cesarean Sections (C-Sections)
  • GYN service procedures and ED transfers

Delivery Volume

  • Approximately 5,500 annual deliveries at one site
  • Approximately 4,200 annual deliveries at another site

Patient Mix

  • 66% Obstetrics
  • 33% Gynecology

Support Staff & Coverage Model

Per Shift:

  • 3 OB/GYN Physicians
  • 1 Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician
  • 2–3 Certified Nurse Midwives
  • 2 Advanced Practice Providers
  • Residents and Fellows

Additional Support

  • Maternal-Fetal Medicine onsite during the day
  • Maternal-Fetal Medicine available by call overnight

  • Epic (Stork)
