Locums – Bismarck, North Dakota, Gastroenterology Opening (IMLC Accepted)

Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Coverage Dates

• August 10, 2026 (7:00 AM) – August 17, 2026 (7:00 AM)
• December 29, 2026 (7:00 AM) – January 4, 2027 (7:00 AM)
• Ongoing future availability available

Schedule

• 24-hour call coverage
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Hospital rounding and procedures performed during approximately 8 hours onsite daily
• Rounding schedule is flexible based on consult volume

Practice Setting

• Hospital and call coverage only
• No clinic responsibilities
• Solo Gastroenterology coverage while on assignment
• No additional Gastroenterologist onsite during coverage periods
• No supervision of other healthcare providers

Patient Volume

• New patient consults: 1–2 per day
• Daily rounding census: 5–6 patients
• Endoscopy procedures: Approximately 1–2 scopes per day
• ERCP volume: Approximately 1–2 procedures per week

Support Staff

• No NP support
• Registered Nurses in Endoscopy Suite
• CRNA support for procedures

Required Procedures

• Colonoscopy
• Biopsy
• Polypectomy
• Proctoscopy/Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
• Hemorrhoidal Banding
• Upper GI Endoscopy
• PEG Placement
• Esophageal Variceal Banding
• Banding Lesions for Acute GI Bleed Management
• Dilation Procedures
• Management of Hospitalized GI Patients

Highly Preferred Procedures

• ERCP

EMR

• Epic

Credentialing

• Approximately 60–90 days

Requirements

• Board Certified Gastroenterology required
• Active North Dakota license highly preferred
• Pending North Dakota license accepted
• IMLC accepted
• BLS required
• DEA required
• Experience in General Gastroenterology required
• ERCP certification and experience highly preferred
