  • 24-hour ED OB call coverage
  • Approximately 1 coverage day per week
  • No clinic responsibilities

License & Certification Requirements

Required License

  • Active Oklahoma medical license OR
  • IMLC accepted

Board Status

  • Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) required

Required Certification

  • BLS

Preferred Training

  • Fellowship training preferred

Call Details

Call Type

  • Beeper Call

Response Time

  • 30-minute response requirement

Responsibilities

  • ED OB call coverage
  • Unassigned patient rounding
  • Labor and delivery support

Practice Details

Specialty

  • ED OB Hospitalist / OB-GYN

Patient Volume

  • 2–3 patients per shift
  • Approximately 30 deliveries per month
  • Approximately 25,000 ED visits annually

Department Resources

  • 3 LDRP rooms
  • 8 postpartum rooms
  • 2 C-section suites
  • 4 operating rooms available daily
  • 24/7 anesthesia coverage
  • Fellowship-trained ED physicians
  • In-house hospitalists

Beds

  • 11-bed department

EMR

  • Epic

Trauma Designation

  • Level III Trauma Center

Ideal Candidate

  • BC/BE OB-GYN physician
  • Active Oklahoma license or IMLC pathway available
  • Current BLS certification
  • Comfortable providing 24-hour ED OB call coverage
  • Able to respond within 30 minutes
  • Fellowship training preferred but not required
