Locums (Evenings) - Long Island City, New York, Psychiatric NP/PA Job

o Seeking a board certified or board eligible Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (must have some post training experience as an APP)
o ASAP start
o Ongoing need
o Initial assignment expected to last two-three months
o Need coverage 1-2 weekdays per week (on-site, not telehealth)
o Two-hour shifts
o After-hours opportunity
• Start any time after 5:00 PM EST
• Examples include 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, 6:00 PM-8:00 PM, or 7:00 PM-9:00 PM
• Latest start time is 7:00 PM EST
o Conduct psychiatric intake evaluations and provide in-person monitoring for Spravato® (esketamine nasal spray) treatment sessions
o Opportunity to participate in innovative depression treatment programs
o Structured outpatient setting with small patient cohorts
• Duties and Responsibilities:
o Conduct psychiatric intake evaluations and determine Spravato eligibility
o Prescribe Spravato and/or document notes in EMR
o Provide on-site support during Spravato dosing sessions
o Monitor patients during the required observation period
o Perform vitals checks, safety assessments, and symptom monitoring
o Complete all documentation accurately and timely
o Coordinate with operations teams and partner therapist offices
o Maintain a calm, safe, and supportive treatment environment
o Typical session size is 3-4 patients
• Requirements:
o Current, unrestricted DEA registration
o Willingness to associate DEA registration with partner site locations as needed
o Comfortable managing outpatient monitoring and clinical changes
o Strong documentation and protocol adherence skills
o Willingness to complete required Spravato REMS training
o Psychiatry experience preferred
o Spravato, ketamine, esketamine, TMS, infusion therapy, or monitoring experience preferred but not required
o Previous Spravato experience is not required
o UHC/Optum network participation is a plus
