Locums – Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, NP/PA Emergency Medicine Opening

RecruitWell is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locums Emergency Medicine opportunity in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 3 months
• Schedule: 10–12 shifts per month
• Monthly Hours: 60–120 hours per month
• Shift Flexibility: Providers must be able to work all shifts; shifts do not need to be consecutive
• Current Shift Times:
  • 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• All shifts are expected to transition to 12-hour coverage as summer volume increases

Facility Details

• Annual ED volume: approximately 55,000 visits per year
• Average daily volume: 155 patients per day, including around 30 pediatric patients daily
• Admission rate: 25%
• Average patient load: 1.7 patients per hour per APP
• Facility average: 1.55 patients per hour per provider
• Physician coverage: 42 hours daily

Provider Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Emergency Room experience required
• Ideal experience in a Level II trauma center or higher
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required
• 2+ years preferred
• HCA experience strongly preferred due to metric-driven environment
• Temps available for providers with a clean file
