Availability / Assignment Details

• Start Date: July–August 2026 (target onboarding window)
• Duration: 6 months (potential extension until permanent coverage is secured)
• Number of Providers Needed: 3–4 General Anesthesiologists
• Shift Types: 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts
• Call Requirement: No call required
• Model: Primarily care team supervision with occasional own cases

• Annual Volume: ~3,500–4,000 general anesthesia cases/month
• Case Complexity:
  • High-acuity mixed surgical service
  • Busy OB service
  • Trauma center
  • Stroke center
  • Vascular surgery
  • Neurosurgery
  • Urology
  • Orthopedics
• EMR Systems: Cerner and AIMS

Staffing Model

• Care Team Ratio:
  • 1 MD : 3 CRNAs OR
  • 1 MD : 4 CRNAs
• Practice Style:
  • Primarily supervisory anesthesia model
  • Occasional MD-directed solo cases possible
• CRNA supervision required

Clinical Requirements

• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible accepted
• Must be proficient in:
  • General anesthesia across broad surgical specialties
  • Peripheral nerve blocks

Licensure

• Active North Carolina medical license required

• Strong emphasis on regional anesthesia skills and CRNA supervision
• Mix of supervisory and hands-on anesthesia practice depending on case assignment
