Setting: Inpatient Rehab Facility
Clinical Role

• Seeking a Board Certified or Eligible Physiatrist

• Patient Volume: 18–20 patients/day

• Shared Call Schedule: 1:4

• 4 physicians currently in the market

• Group maintains an active compliance program

• Facility Tool: Uses MD Coder for efficient, compliant charge entry and billing code support

Compensation & Employment

• Medical Director Base Salary (Full-time): $200,000 (guaranteed)

• Staff Physician Base Salary (Full-time): $180,000 (guaranteed)

• Bonus Structure:

  • Once threshold is met, provider receives 70% of billings

  • Full-time physicians typically earn $230,000 to $425,000+ (salary + production bonus)

• Employment Type:

  • W2 for full-time

  • 1099 available for part-time directly through hiring entity
