Bronx, New York – Infectious Disease Physician Job

Clinical Role:

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible Infectious Disease physician

• Permanent position

• 2026 Infectious Disease fellows encouraged to apply

• Join an established, collegial team of seven Infectious Disease physicians and one experienced nurse practitioner

• Balanced mix of inpatient consultative services and outpatient clinic

• Each physician covers approximately four months of inpatient Infectious Disease consults annually

• Monday-Friday schedule

• One administrative day each week that may be completed remotely from home

• Approximately eight weekends of phone-only Infectious Disease call annually

• Outpatient volume averages 7-9 patients per half-day clinic session

• Six half-day clinic sessions weekly during outpatient months

• During inpatient consult months, clinic is reduced to two half-day sessions weekly

• Opportunity to teach residents within an active residency program

• Spanish-speaking physicians preferred, but not required

• H-1B visa candidates welcome

Organization Information:

• Single hospital practice

• Competitive compensation package

• Base salary: $245,000

• Productivity bonus typically $50,000-$60,000 annually

• Additional quality incentive up to $25,000 annually

• Eligible for both Federal and New York State loan forgiveness programs
