Availability

• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Call: Required
  • Nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Call Type: 2nd Call / Backup
  • Response Time: 30 minutes

Practice Setting

• Setting: Hospital-based
• Responsibilities:
  • Assigned inpatient rounding
  • First assist with cardiothoracic surgeon
• Patients Per Shift: Approximately 13
• EMR: Epic

Clinical Focus

• Specialty: Cardiovascular / Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Required Skills:
  • Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)
  • Radial artery endoscopic harvesting

Candidate Requirements (Quick Screen)

• Role: Nurse Practitioner First Assist or Physician Assistant
• Experience: Minimum 3 years preferred
• Board Certification: Required
• Fellowship Training: Preferred
• Certifications:
  • ACLS – Required
  • BLS – Required

Recruiter Notes

• Surgical first assist role with inpatient rounding
• Call responsibilities are mandatory
• EVH and radial artery harvesting experience required for consideration
