Medical Oncologist

Position Overview

A large, well-established multispecialty group in the Bronx is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Medical Oncologist to join its growing oncology service. This role focuses on medical oncology care, with close collaboration alongside surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and other specialties within a multidisciplinary cancer care model.

Part-time and full-time options available. New graduates are welcome.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage patients with a wide range of solid tumors and hematologic malignancies

  • Explain cancer diagnoses, staging, prognosis, and treatment options to patients and families

  • Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, including:

    • Chemotherapy

    • Immunotherapy

    • Targeted and biologic therapies

  • Monitor treatment response and manage therapy-related side effects and complications

  • Coordinate care with surgical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, and other specialists

  • Provide symptom management and supportive care, including pain management

  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and care planning discussions

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR

  • Provide longitudinal outpatient oncology care, with inpatient involvement as applicable

Practice Setting & Schedule

  • Multispecialty group with oncology services across multiple Bronx locations

  • Outpatient-focused medical oncology practice

  • Flexible scheduling with full-time or part-time options

Requirements

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Medical Oncology (Hematology/Oncology acceptable if applicable)

  • Eligible for New York medical licensure

  • Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered communication skills

  • Interest in collaborative, team-based oncology care

  • New graduates encouraged to apply

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation: $275,000–$375,000 annually, commensurate with experience and schedule

  • Comprehensive benefits for providers working 20+ hours per week

  • Malpractice coverage provided for benefit-eligible providers

  • Providers working fewer than 20 hours per week must maintain their own malpractice insurance
