Clinical Role
Practice setting: Rural health clinic
Payer mix: Approximately 75% Medicaid
Schedule:
Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Flexible options: Four 10?hour days or five 8?hour days
Scope of practice: Outpatient only, no call
Patient volume: 25–29 patients per day
Visit types and time slots:
Sick and well visits: 15 minutes
New patients and newborns: 30 minutes
Complex pediatric patients/physicals: 30 minutes
Support staff:
Dedicated MA assigned
Dedicated triage nurse and referrals clerk
MAs administer vaccines
Qualifications
Board certification in Pediatrics strongly preferred
Will consider board-eligible candidates within 5 years of completing residency
No hospital privileges required
