1 Day a Week – Breast Surgeon – Far Rockaway, New York City (Queens | Near JFK Airport)
Clinical Role:

- Permanent, part-time opportunity (1 day per week)
- Seeking a board certified or board eligible breast surgeon
- Reports to Chief of Surgery / Medical Director
- Responsibilities include:
- Perform breast procedures: lumpectomies, mastectomies, biopsies, and coordination with reconstruction
- Diagnose and manage benign and malignant breast conditions
- Interpret imaging and pathology reports
- Provide pre- and post-operative care, including long-term follow-up
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (oncology, radiology, pathology, plastic surgery)
- Participate in tumor boards and case discussions
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis and treatment options
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with NYS and federal regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor and educate residents as applicable

Qualifications:
Education & Training:
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Completion of accredited General Surgery residency
- Fellowship training in Breast Surgery, Surgical Oncology, or related specialty preferred
Licensure & Certification:
- Active, unrestricted New York medical license
- Board certified or eligible in General Surgery
- Additional breast/surgical oncology certification preferred
- DEA registration required

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of current breast care standards and technologies
Work Environment:
- Practice settings may include hospitals, academic centers, or specialized breast care centers in New York
- May include flexible scheduling and occasional call responsibilities
- Must comply with New York State Department of Health regulations and institutional policies
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $75,000–$95,000 annually for 1 day per week
