Licensure and Certification Requirements

Facility and Setting

  • Trauma Level: Level II
  • Environment: Academic-affiliated (University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine)
  • Unit Details:
    • 30-bed pediatric inpatient unit
    • Average census: 16–18 patients
    • 16-bed PICU with dedicated intensivists

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Pediatric inpatient ward coverage
  • Newborn nursery exams
  • ED pediatric consultations
  • Collaboration with subspecialists and intensivists
  • Teaching residents and medical students
  • Participation in academic programs
