Licensure and Certification Requirements
- Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics – Required
- State License: Active Nevada license or eligibility required
- DEA: Required prior to start
- CSR/CDS: Required prior to start
Facility and Setting
- NICU: 58-bed Level III NICU
- Coverage: 24/7 in-house neonatology
- Environment: Academic affiliation with strong subspecialty support
Clinical Responsibilities
- Newborn nursery examinations
- Circumcisions
- Collaborate with pediatric intensivists, hospitalists, and neonatologists
- Work with specialized newborn nursing staff (transitional, newborn, couplet care)
- Utilize Certified Lactation Specialist support (available year-round)
- Participate in teaching pediatric residents and medical students
- No delivery attendance required
