Licensure & Credentialing Requirements
- Board Certification: Required OR truly Board Eligible (Psychiatry)
- Board Status: Must be current (no lapsed certification accepted)
- State License: New York license required or ability to obtain
- DEA: Required
Candidate Requirements
- Experienced psychiatrists preferred; recent graduates acceptable
- Not accepting locum candidates
- Not open to visa sponsorship
Clinical Role Overview
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care across three specialized units:
- Mental Health
- MICA (Mentally Ill Chemically Addicted)
- Gero-Psychiatry
- Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists, and community-based providers
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team: counselors, therapists, case managers, nurse practitioners, and fellow psychiatrists
- Treat a diverse adult psychiatric population
- Deliver patient-centered, compassionate care addressing medical, psychiatric, and social needs
- Participate in weekend call rotation
