Licensure & Credentialing Requirements
- Board Certification: Required OR truly Board Eligible (Psychiatry)
- Board Status: Must be current (no lapsed certification accepted)
- State License: New York license required or ability to obtain
- DEA: Required
Candidate Requirements
- Experience or strong interest in geriatric psychiatry preferred
- Not accepting locum candidates
- Not open to visa sponsorship
Clinical Role Overview
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care for geriatric patients
- Collaborate with Clinical Coordinator/Social Worker trained in geriatric psychiatry
- Work within multidisciplinary team: therapists, counselors, case managers, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners
- Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care addressing medical, psychiatric, and social needs
- Coordinate with system-level behavioral health leadership and resources
- Maintain a stable, full-time psychiatrist presence on the Geriatric-Psychiatry unit
