Locums - Martinsville, Virginia, Hematology/Oncology Opening

Assignment Details
Coverage Dates: August 3, 2026 – July 31, 2027
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Shifts: 4 shifts per week (8–10 hours depending on patient volume)
Setting: Oncology clinic with call coverage

Clinical Responsibilities
Patient volume: 12–15 patients per day
No additional hours beyond 8 per day until 12-patient minimum is met
Assigned patients included

Call Coverage
Call type: Beeper (established patients only)
Call volume: 2–5 calls per week (phone only)
Response time: 1 hour
Physicians not required to be on-site for night or weekend call

Practice Setting
Oncology center with 3 established permanent providers
Seeking long-term coverage; preference for long-term commitment and local/driving-distance candidates
Housing: Apartment available
EMR: Aria

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible – Required
Active Virginia license – Required
Hematology/Oncology Fellowship – Required
Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, BLS – Required
