Position Overview
- Full-time Neonatologist role
- Join a collaborative, high-acuity NICU team
- Schedule: 7-on / 7-off with home call model
- Position Type: Permanent (not accepting locums)
- Residency Requirement: Must live locally (relocation may be required)
- Visa Sponsorship: Not available
Clinical Scope
- NICU Level: III (34 beds)
- Annual Deliveries: ~1,500–2,000
- Care Responsibilities:
- Daily neonatal rounds & patient management
- Newborn nursery coverage
- Oversight of in-house patients while NNP transport team handles transfers
- Participation in quality improvement & evidence-based care initiatives
Team & Support
- Team Model: 2 Neonatologists + 4 NNPs
- Support: 24/7 in-house NNP coverage
- Environment: Collegial, multidisciplinary collaboration
Schedule & Call
- Rotation: 7-on / 7-off
- Daily Work: Daytime rounds
- Call: Home call after rounds (24-hour responsibility during assigned week)
- Weekends: Included in rotation
Licensing & Certification Requirements
- Board Certification: Pediatrics – Required
- Neonatology: Board Eligible or Board Certified – Accepted (must be truly BE/BC)
