Position Overview
- Seeking experienced, Board-Certified Neonatologist
- Help lead and grow a Level III NICU program
- Schedule: Week-on / Week-off with home call
- Position Type: Permanent (not accepting locums)
- Residency Requirement: Must live locally (relocation may be required)
- Visa Sponsorship: Not available
Clinical Scope
- NICU Level: III (8 beds) + Newborn Nursery
- Daily Census: ~9–11 patients
- Facilities: 10 LDR couplet care rooms
- Responsibilities:
- Neonatal care & newborn nursery coverage
- Attend high-risk deliveries with OB/perinatal teams
- Develop clinical protocols & support NICU growth
- Participate in quality improvement & patient safety initiatives
Team & Support
- Team Model:
- 2 Neonatologists
- 4.5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
- Nursing & respiratory therapy staff
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
- Opportunity to mentor staff as acuity increases
Schedule & Call
- Rotation: Week-on / Week-off
- Coverage: 24-hour responsibility during assigned week
- Call: Home call model
- Weekends: Included during on-week
Licensing & Certification Requirements
- Board Certification: Neonatology – Required
- Experience: Required (not open to new grads)
