Locums - Biddeford, Maine, Hematology/Oncology Opening (IMLC Welcome)

Assignment Details
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 6 months
Schedule: Tuesday – Friday
Shift Length: 8-hour days
No weekend coverage
No call coverage

Clinical Responsibilities
Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care for adult patients
See a broad range of general hematology and oncology diagnoses
Average patient volume: 10–15 patients per day
Mix of new consults and follow-up visits
Respond to Epic in-basket messages and patient concerns
Take phone calls from outside providers regarding known and unknown patients
Collaborate closely with APPs and multidisciplinary team members
Comfort with benign hematology required due to significant referral volume
Bone marrow biopsies optional and typically handled by APPs

Practice Setting
Outpatient hematology/oncology practice
Practice size: 2 physicians and 2 APPs
No multiple site coverage required
Occasional rotating fellow presence
Strong collaborative physician support environment
Adult patient population
EMR: Epic

Requirements
Board Certified in Oncology and/or Hematology – Required
Active Maine license or Active IMLC – Required
Epic experience – Required
COVID vaccine – Required
Flu vaccine – Required
