Locums - Tampa, Florida, Emergency Medicine Opening

Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Duration: 3 months

Coverage & Shift Details:

• 24-hour physician coverage required
• APP coverage: ~12 hours/day (flexes based on volume)
• Candidates must be willing to work equitable distribution of days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be willing to work at main facility associated with FSED

Patient Volume & Facility Details:

• Annual volume: ~9,000 visits
• Year-to-date average: 57 patients/day (2025 average: 53/day)
• Admission rate: ~5%
• 10,000 square foot facility
• 11 emergency room bays, including fully equipped trauma bay
• All private treatment rooms
• Separate central Tampa FSED location

Imaging & Support Services:

• State-of-the-art CT, ultrasound, and radiology onsite
• Seamless transfer process for admissions to main campus with intensivists, hospitalists, and specialty support

EMR & Documentation:

• Meditech P-doc EMR
• Meditech FLQ
• M-Modal dictation

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) – Required
• Emergency Medicine residency trained – Required
• Must have recent Emergency Medicine clinical experience within past 2 years
