Candidate Eligibility

  • Fellows completing Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine training and board-eligible candidates accepted
  • Must reside within the immediate local area
  • Eligible for permanent full-time employment

Practice Details

NICU Environment

  • 16-bed Level III NICU
  • Average daily census: 7–8 NICU patients
  • Over 1,100 annual deliveries
  • High-risk delivery coverage included

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive neonatal intensive care
  • Management of critically ill and premature newborns
  • Attendance at high-risk deliveries
  • Newborn nursery coverage
  • Family-centered neonatal care
  • Participation in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Team Structure

  • Collaboration with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs)
  • Multidisciplinary neonatal care environment
  • Access to:
    • 371 faculty physicians
    • 410 private practice physicians
    • 39 Specialty Associates

  • Continuous 24/7 onsite neonatal coverage
