License & Board Requirements
Required
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatology
- Completion of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship
- Eligible for board certification upon completion of training
Practice Details
- Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a 35-bed Level III NICU
- Average daily census: 25–29 infants
- Annual NICU admissions: Approximately 370–400
- Annual deliveries: Approximately 3,400–3,900
- Advanced neonatal interventions include:
- High-frequency ventilation
- Therapeutic hypothermia
- Well-baby rounding two weeks per month with Family Medicine Residency Program
- Collaborative multidisciplinary neonatal care model
- Strong pediatric subspecialty support including:
- Cardiology
- Pediatric Surgery
- Ophthalmology
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM)
Support Structure
- 4 Neonatologists in rotating service model
- 24/7 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) coverage
- Academic-supported clinical environment
