Position Highlights
Full-time clinical role focused on movement disorders
Collaborative environment within a large, established neuroscience team
Mix of outpatient and inpatient responsibilities
Opportunity to help grow and shape an expanding movement disorders program
Clinical Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage a wide range of movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, dystonia, tremors, and related conditions
Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide ongoing longitudinal care and disease management in both outpatient clinics and inpatient consultative settings
Evaluate and manage patients for advanced therapies, including Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), in close collaboration with neurosurgery teams
Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, department seminars, and educational meetings
Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, presentations, and outcomes-based studies and clinical trials in movement disorders
Academic & Teaching Opportunities
Participate in resident and medical student education through programs affiliated with Florida Atlantic University (FAU)
Support neurology residency training through bedside teaching, didactics, mentorship, and curriculum development
Opportunities to engage with additional academic partners, including Florida International University (FIU), through established neurology training programs
Facility & Program Features
Practice based in a modern, 57,000-square-foot neuroscience facility with:
20-bed neuroscience intensive care unit
Four dedicated neurosurgical operating rooms
Intraoperative MRI and CT technology
Biplane angiography suite
Robust multidisciplinary support, including neurology subspecialists, neurosurgery, neurocritical care, and advanced practice providers
Candidate Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited institution
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
Fellowship training in Movement Disorders required
Active and unrestricted Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure by start date
Completion of all institutional due diligence and credentialing requirements
Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
Ability to thrive in and contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
