Locums – Neonatal Perinatal Medicine | Johnstown, Pennsylvania

Position Overview

• Specialty: Neonatal Perinatal Medicine (Neonatologist)
• Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania

• Duration: Ongoing
• Coverage: One week of coverage every month
• Practice Setting: Inpatient NICU & Outpatient Clinic
• EMR: Epic

Availability Required

Scheduled Coverage Dates

• January 6–11, 2027 | Coverage begins at 3:00 PM
• February 12–17, 2027 | Coverage begins at 3:00 PM
• Ongoing schedule: One week of coverage every month

Additional Coverage Expectations

• Outpatient clinic coverage one day per week:
  • Thursday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Out-of-hours 24/7 beeper call coverage while on assignment

Licenses & Certifications Required

• Active Pennsylvania Medical License or IMLC
• Board Certified in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine
• Fellowship Trained
• ABLS
• ACLS
• ATLS
• BLS
• PALS

Candidate Preferences

• Strong preference for a drive-in candidate
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Clinical Responsibilities

• NICU inpatient rounding
• Outpatient clinic coverage
• Attend high-risk deliveries and C-sections only
• Unassigned NICU patient rounding
• No general pediatric patient responsibilities

Call Requirements

• Call Type: Beeper
• Call Coverage: Out-of-hours, 24/7 while on assignment
• Required response time: Within 20 minutes

Patient Volume

• Average daily NICU census: 9–11 infants
• Average NICU admissions: 20 per month

• Level IIIA NICU
• 16-bed NICU with expansion capacity to 20 beds
• Level I Trauma Center
