Locums - Springfield, Ohio, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Job (IMLC Accepted)

Coverage Dates:

• Urgent Start ASAP through 6/26 (7a) – ongoing for at least 2 months
• After initial 2-month assignment, facility anticipates sporadic future coverage needs
• Coverage is for call and locum will assist in the office/clinic setting

Schedule & Call Details:

• 24-hour call coverage
• Shift: 7a–7a
• Clinic hours are 7a-4p M-F

Reason for Coverage:

• Provider experienced a medical emergency and is unable to cover

Practice Setting:

• Full-service acute care hospital
• Hospital-based practice

Patient & Practice Details:

• Adult patient population: 100%
• Hospital-based caseload: 100%
• Physicians in practice: 1
• Mid-level providers: 2

Facility Details:

• Total hospital beds: 250
• ICU beds: 60
• Onsite lab
• Onsite x-ray

Documentation System:

• Epic

Required Procedures & Clinical Responsibilities:

• General Cardiovascular surgery
• Thoracic surgery
• Vascular surgery
• Coronary artery bypass surgery
• Congenital defect repair
• Valvular repair and replacements
• Aneurysm repair
• Lung resection including VATS
• Chest wall and pleural procedures
• Esophagus and diaphragm surgeries
• Endarterectomy (Carotid and Renal)
• Ventilation management
• Bronchoscopy
• Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery – required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• Active Ohio state license required / IMLC Accepted
• Must have clean record
