A leading provider of cardiovascular care in Southern Arizona is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join a highly respected and established cardiology practice in Tucson, Arizona. This is a full-time employed opportunity within a physician-led organization committed to clinical excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care.
Position Overview
Join a collaborative team of experienced physicians and advanced practice providers delivering comprehensive interventional and advanced coronary care across a robust hospital network. This opportunity offers access to advanced technologies, a high-volume cath lab, fellowship involvement, and participation in clinical research.
Position Highlights
Employed, full-time opportunity with a physician-driven team
Established and collaborative practice environment
Typical clinic week schedule: 35–45 hours
Hospital call transitioning to a Q4 rotation
Dedicated NP support for hospital rounding
Patient census:
Clinic: 24–30 patients daily
Hospital: 10–25 patients daily
Supported by an extensive hospital infrastructure and operational resources
Interventional & Advanced Coronary Care
High-volume cath lab specializing in:
High-risk PCI
Complex coronary interventions
Physicians perform approximately 300–400 procedures annually
Procedural capabilities include:
Coronary angiography
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
Advanced technologies available:
Laser atherectomy
Rotational atherectomy
Orbital atherectomy
Intravascular lithotripsy
Impella support
ECMO support and onsite CT surgery backup
Comprehensive structural cardiology program with full cardiothoracic surgery support
Cardiogenic Shock & Mechanical Circulatory Support
Dedicated cardiogenic shock program serving as a regional referral hub
Full ICU support for complex cardiac care
Advanced mechanical circulatory support capabilities including:
Impella
Tandem
ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
Dedicated nursing staff experienced in managing critically ill cardiac patients
Academic & Research Opportunities
Active interventional cardiology fellowship program
Opportunities for fellow mentorship and collaboration
Participation available in multiple ongoing clinical research trials
Candidate Requirements
MD or DO degree required
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
Eligible for or currently holding an Arizona medical license
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
