A leading medical center in Rock Hill, South Carolina is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join its Cardiothoracic Surgery team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly cohesive and collaborative surgical program dedicated to delivering exceptional cardiovascular care across the continuum.
Join a team of two experienced cardiac surgeons and three advanced practice providers who work together to support a balanced and sustainable schedule. This position offers a dynamic blend of operative first assist responsibilities, inpatient management, and perioperative care—ideal for a provider who enjoys both surgical and clinical aspects of cardiothoracic medicine.
Position Highlights
Full-time employed opportunity
Mix of:
Operating room first assist responsibilities
Inpatient rounding and patient management
Perioperative care coordination
Collaborative team structure promoting strong work-life balance
Shared responsibilities among physicians and APPs
Call rotation of 1:4
Involvement in ICU and step-down unit patient care
Endovascular vein harvesting experience required
Candidate Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
NCCPA certification required
Licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina
Prior cardiothoracic surgery experience preferred
Endovascular vein harvesting proficiency required
Strong clinical, surgical, and interpersonal skills
