• Duration: Ongoing locums coverage with permanent placement potential
• Reason for Coverage: Additional provider support needed for laborist model

Requirements

Board Status

• Board Certified OB/GYN
• Board Eligible OB/GYN

License

• Active Ohio license preferred
• Candidates willing to obtain Ohio licensure will be considered

Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS

Schedule

Physician Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Call Responsibilities

• Physician backup call for Certified Nurse Midwife
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Practice Details

• OB Hospitalist / Laborist Model
• Labor & Delivery Unit
• Inpatient-only setting
• No outpatient responsibilities
• Level III Nursery
• Epic EMR

Support Staff & Resources

• Registered Nurses
• Certified Nurse Midwife
• Onsite Lab
• Onsite Ultrasound

Required Clinical Experience

Obstetrics

• Low-risk pregnancies
• High-risk pregnancies
• Multiple gestations/twins
• Toxemia
• Diabetes in pregnancy
• Chronic cardiac conditions
• Chronic pulmonary disease
• Chronic renal disease
• Pyelonephritis

Labor & Delivery

• Vaginal deliveries
• Operative vaginal deliveries (low forceps)
• C-section decision-making
• Cesarean sections
• Breech deliveries
• Multiple births
• Placental abruptions
• VBAC management
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations

Gynecology

• Emergency GYN coverage for unassigned patients
• Diagnostic laparoscopy
• Tubal ligation
• Lysis of adhesions (LOA)
• Chromotubation
• Open gynecologic procedures

Ideal Candidate

• Experienced OB Hospitalist/Laborist
• Comfortable managing both low- and high-risk obstetric patients
• Proficient in operative deliveries and emergency obstetric procedures
• Interested in a locums-to-permanent opportunity
